The “Thunderball” (1965) Comedy Dining Experience

Once again! we’re back and I hope you’ve bought your phone with you because believe me, you’ll need it for some of this. As myself and Ben take a look at the 1965 Bond slog that is “Thunderball” a film that revolutionised the world of Underwater cinema. And while I can be grateful to it for probably enhancing movies like “Jaws” I also cannot escape from the fact that this is over 2 hours long and mainly consists of people swimming, fighting and choking underwater.

So I hope this commentary helps to eliviate what is otherwise, probably the dullest action spy thriller you’ve ever sat through.

The “Robot in the Family” (1993) Comedy Dining Experience

One of the things I’ve wanted to try and do with theses commentaries is open them up a bit more to special guests. I think it helps improve the mix somewhat to get some new voices and new ideas flying around while we’re largely talking nonsense. Here; we invited our good friend Raymond Smith from his youtube show of the same name to join us as we watched literally one of the most bizarre and goddamn mental movies I have ever personally sat through.

He took it all in good stride and we had a real ball going through this one! in fact we enjoyed doing this so much we plan to do it again sometime in the near future!

So here’s 1993’s Robot in the family (Also known as a robot called goldigger) and I hope you enjoy watching my 2 co-hosts slowly lose their goddamn minds.

The “Goldfinger” (1964) Comedy Dining Experience

So! while a bit belated (to the site at least) I thought i’d finally try to catch up on my backlog of summer uploads to the channel. over the past 3 months or so the room I use to write, record, shoot and edit all of my content for youtube has undergone drastic renovation (Basically stripping it right back to the brickwork and floorboards and rebuilding it) So I planned in advance to have a few bonus videos go out during this time, purely because the last thing I wanted was my channel sat abandoned for the entire summer.

So! Here’s the first of those videos, and it’s the continuation of our marathon across all of the James bond movies as myself and Ben take a deep look into 1964’s “Goldfinger” what is quite possibly my favourite Connery movie. for now at least…

The “From Russia With Love” Comedy Dining Experience (1963)

So! it’s been a month! We’ve all learnt how to read (Im assured) And so we’ve arrived on the 2nd entry into our long LOOOOONG trip through every Bond movie ever made ever! Due to the lockdown unfotunately while we’ve recorded some new episodes. it’s been at least a couple of months (Mainly due to poor internet connections) since we last recorded one. hopefully the situation will improve slightly and we’ll be able to pick back up again.

At this point; we’ve almost done the whole rest of this year (Barring 2 months or so) so im keeping hopeful we’ll be able to see the year out in style!

Anyway! Here’s From Russia with love! and im sure you guys know what to expect by now 😉

(I REALLY love this poster style…I need to get a portrait done in this style at some point)

The “Pink Flamingos” Comedy Dining Experience (1972)

So in a bit of a first (And what with it being Valentines day) me and the missus decided to sit down and watch the first movie we ever went on a date together to see (She had never seen it before…and yes 8 and half years later she’s still with me!)

We had a great time and hopefully she’ll  be joining us in a few more commentaries in future! So sit down on the couch (Unless it rejects you), Shit in a box and prepare to “Pa-pa OOH mow mow!” yourself into a coma as we work our way through a film on the filthiest people alive!

(Finding a Hi-res image of “Pink Flamingos” era devine is bloody hard man!)

Dan and Ben Take the P.I.F’s!: The “Charlie Says Vol.2” Comedy Dining Experience

In celebration of hitting a 200 subscriber milestone I thought I’d offer up a bit of a bonus video this week! here’s a commentary we recorded in November 2018 covering over 150 Public information films. We were really rather “Merry”. and we will admit it’s a bit more towards the “Derek and Clive” end of the spectrum as a result. Still! here’s to the next 200! and we hope you enjoy this dealve into the terrifying world of the UK in the 1970’s and 80’s

The Threads Comedy Dining Experience (2018)

Something a bit different today and a bit of a bonus here. While working with Ben on producing the Public information films special we had some downtime and we decided to watch the feelgood film of the 80’s “Threads” better still we recorded the experience which I present to you here as a fully functioning feature commentary!

(Warning!: this is not as well researched or thought out as my typical reviews, throughout this both me and Ben are drinking and enjoying the finest takeaway my city has to offer…this is much more laid back and mainly for fun…with that in mind I hope you enjoy…)
