Another one caught on BET's Christmas station, we have the story of 'Melody' an exotic dancer in a 2 year relationship with Patrick, a man whos never introduced her to his parents. Well, that's all about to change as its christmas, and theyre finally getting it together.

Only Patrick's mum, who at first was cool to Melody, erupts on finding that shes a dancer, and spends the rest of movie attacking her, leading to a crisis point. Oh! And the rest of the family is there including the creepy uncle and the brother in law with a the long established and even longer suffering wife.

Its a story of attrition, love and the power of the christmas spirit.

And, its fine. A little heavy handed on the script point at times and clearly filmed in summer. Its a 'good enough' attempt at this kind of movie with a good heart at the core of its script, fun enough characters (even if theyre a bit underdeveloped) and strong(ish) visuals that feel about the same as most low/no budget christmas films.

I enjoyed this one, id watch it again the performances are probably the main draw for me. But its definitely one to help get you into the holiday spirit.
