A Couple head to the in-laws house for christmas, are clearly having a bit of a strained time of things, when the boyfriend in the partnership goes to visit his Grandfather and meets a very nice and kind nurse.
Its a typical 'Person in the wrong relationship finds the right person at christmas' trope. But this os a fairly dry experience…even with the best will in the world.
The scripts very slow going, the plot feels a bit aimless, the characters are all more or less the same age…which is confusing when the sons dad looks the same age as him, and his grandfather looks only about 5-10 years older.
The directions fine enough, but unremarkable…the score is largely stocky sounding tracks…its just a bit of a 'nothing burger' of a movie that goes on WAY too long, tries to feel light hearted and sincere, but just comes across as superficial and kind of bland.
Not one I can really recommend, its not inherently *bad* its just nowhere near *good*
